David and over two dozen other blind and visually-impaired students received generous scholarship grants from the Lions Club. The Virginia Lions Eye Institute Foundation (http://www.vleif.org) provides these scholarships, the Joseph S. Lipomi Memorial Scholarships, in honor of Past District Governor Joe Lipomi, who provided a generous endowment to the foundation for the continuance of these scholarships. Over $450,000 has been provided to scholarship recipients over the years.
