During this “stay at home” time, Mom has been baking and cooking a lot more, so it gives us opportunities to “try” different foods with Jesse, who was born blind, and has non-verbal autism. She has sensory issues with foods, so it is rare that we can find something she’ll actually eat! Mom made some amazing Snickerdoodle cookies with the recipe from AllRecipes, link here: https://armagazine.com/34J5WEB, and Jesse gave them a try.
But the real challenge came with Mom getting her to “try” tuna salad on a Ritz cracker. Jesse has her own way of communicating, and tolerating such attempts at getting her to “try” new things!
