We’ve said before that “blindness” really isn’t our family’s biggest challenge, but its the OTHER things in life that make it a challenge. Transitions for autistic children are often very difficult, and in this video, Jesse, who is blind and autistic, and has a circadian sleep disorder, is flip-flopped and Mom details the difficulty in getting her up and on the school bus, including the bruises, kicking, pinching, and scratching that sometimes comes with those transitions.

Mom explains what a PCA (Personal Care Attendant) is, and how both Jesse and Obed qualify for a PCA under the Medicaid Waiver.

Mom goes shopping for some home decor, and builds a new day bed from Joss & Main for Bethany’s room, adding some new decorative pillows from Pier One.

And then Mom does a new “sitting room reveal” for Bethany and the girls, who decide they want to have a sleepover in Bethany’s room to break it in!
