Our school system has given us two choices for returning to school in the fall, either zero days in the classroom per week, or two days in the classroom per week. For special education students with IEPs like ours, which typically require one-on-one instruction, personal care, and hands-on therapy, distance learning is quite a challenge, and frankly not helpful at all for most of our kids. So, we’ve had a choice to make for each of our children, who each have special situations that require attention. Adding a “homeschool” option is another choice we’re having to consider.
